vegas downres issue
I have been using Vegas for 4+ years and have never run into anything of the like. The 20 minute projects that I have finished now opens in what looks like low res draft mode, but is set the same as earlier in the project when all the footage looked “normal”. I first tried re-capture to no avail, then tried opening avi file in a seperate media player (winamp/windows media player) and the footage looks “normal”. I also tried opening a new project and importing the clip in Vegas 5 and 6 but the same effect happens. I spent weeks on this project and would rather not start over if I can help it. The only other points I think need to be mentioned is the fact that I’m using multiple different formats (24p adv, 60i, 16/44 audio, and 24/48 audio) but these all worked perfectly well throughout the edit, only now when I am going back to make finishing touches after rendering and burning the project successfully multiple times. Now when I burn the dvd it also comes out considerably lower in resolution. I understand this may be an unsolvable issue, but I’d love whatever ideas you can think of. By the way other projects still open and render fine, only the ones which use this footage seem to have this problem. Thanks, Jeremy

Don’t need the footage, just the .veg (project) file.
