I’m using Vegas 6 to record audio for an interactive CD I’m developing. As a rookie in the audio world, I’m hoping you can help me with a question. I’ve recorded a session/track that lasts for 10 minutes and I would like to take specific parts of the initial track and produce four wav or mp3 files from the one session with one export. I understand how to mark this as CD Audio and burn a CD, but is there a way to mark sections within the timeline and tell Vegas to render each section as a separate file wav or mp3 file? I know how to select and render a single section, but my goal is to mark the sections and export the specific sections all at once in to individual files. Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Andy

You’ll need to use a script for this. A script can easily render any marked region to any specified format. Go to Tools – Scripting – Batch Render.

    Edward,

Thank you for your reply. Have you ever seen a script that will name the output file with the name set in the region marker? Thanks for your help.

Excalibur will (Asset tab – DVD Asset Collector). I’m sure the Veggie Toolkit will too. Not sure about other offerings. Was trying to give the “free” version a chance first.
