good day everyone, okay I have an issue in vegas, I am doing a slideshow, about 200 photos, I know how to set the duration of the still in the prefrences and that’s fine, however I would like to automatically set the fade in and fade out of each slide. Is there a way to do that. I would hate to do it manually on all 200 photos if I don;t have to.

Do you want them crossfaded? Or do you want to fade to black between each one?

In Options – Preferences you can set the length as you said but you can also set the amount of overlap. (Cut to Overlap Conversion).

If you already have the events on the timeline, the answer is scripts. With a script you can program both the lengths and the overlaps. Take a look here for a free script that will crossfade the selected events (the total length of the project will DECREASE as the events will be moved to create the overlaps)
