  strange!

  I rendered out a 5min. avi(NTSC DV) from Vegas. When I look at it in Windows media player the last 40 seconds is chopped off. But the file did indeed completely render because the end is there when I view it in Vegas or DVDA.

  Has anyone experienced this? It’s only happening with this 1 file not with any other final avis’s I have.
  Any ideas what could be causing this?

  Does this help?
  Rendered AVI only shows as 4:42 in other players.
  It’s from Edward Troxel’s Vegas FAQ.

  Sounds like you may be hitting a 2Gig limit. What format did you really render to and what settings are picked in the preferences?

  Thats got to be it. I remember not long ago I was experimenting on ways to get footage into Particle Illusion and I must have checked that and left it.

  BTW, I found that Particle Illusion can handle DIVX files very well. 🙂
