I imported a VIDEO_TS.VOB from the TS folder into V6 time line. It plays for a while and then V6 crashes. Is there a way of editing MPG2 files from DVDs directly, similar to HDV mpg2?

    thanks

i rename .vob to .mpg and then the clip plays in Vegas and WMP…
if the .VOB ( or renamed .mpg) is copyright protected ( as in encoded with do not copy software/hardware) ) from a DVD then i have found that V will not play it and may crash

You can to edit in Vegas only decrypted VOB,which contained only SINGLE mpeg video and SINGLE mpeg or pcm audio tracks. If inside VOB muxed few audio(ac3,dts) and subtitles streams-Vegas crashed.
