  Computer Question

  Looking to upgrade for a system to be used mostly w/Vegas 6.

  What runs faster? A Dual Core P4 2.8GHZ machine or a 3.7 GHZ P4?

  I have a ATA 250G drive, will I be able to use & install that w/a new system using SATA drives?

  thanks – trying to catch up on 3 years of changes w/Computers since I last bought one!

  The dual core should be much faster.

  As far as I know, it’s either SATA or ATA Not both, unless your ATA drive has a USB or Firewire connection. Or you can buy an external enclosure with USB or Firewire (preferrably) and connect it that way. I don’t know though if you can put in an I/O card top use it. Someone else will have to answer that one.
