  Vegas 6 Audio Trouble

  Suddenly the audio on my raw digitized clips recorded in Vegas 6 won’t play properly. They sound like scrambled pure distortion. Windows media 10 gives me an error message that says “error downloading codec”. The
  clips will play back fine inside the Vegas work space.

  I’ve removed and reinstalled the Vegas 6 software with latest update and still nothing. The only thing I can possibly trace this to is when I removed the free Cineframe HD program after it kept telling me the trial period ran out.

  I’m working in standard DV mode. When I render the clips out they will play back with good audio. I don’t want to have to render every clip because I’m taking the raw clips into Ultra 2.

  Any ideas?

  I just installed Vegas 5 and the audio digitizing problem persists within
  that program too.

  Found the problem. Turns out Vegas did not like the audio coming in from a mini cable connector from my wireless mic. I substituted in a Beachtek XLR adapter and the audio problem went away.

  The strange thing is that Screenblast 3.0 which is like a lite version of Vegas had no problem digitizing from the Vx-2100 without the Beachtek.
