Cannot capture video from Z1. Vegas doesn’t recognize it as being connected. Tried all the usual connects and reconnects but to no avail. Can anyone help?

    Thanks,
    John

Does it show up in your Device Manager?

    Thanks Gary.

No it doesn’t. What has shown up is an unknown ? device with an AV/C subunit designation.

also, Vidcap will only recognise it in DV mode. If capturing HDV make sure to use the new internal capture in V6.

Thanks Gary and Peter. The Sony driver was in sound, video and game controllers as opposed to AV/C. I installed and is working fine. I did discover the internal vidcap for HDV.

    Thanks again,

    John
