May 7, 2005 at 10:15 pmthanks, i erased the previous folder. shouldn’t a folder be generated automatically when i prepare and go to burn a dvd. i am not very savy at the computer lingo so any simple instructions are appreciated. again thanks for your help, this is a great site. i tried sony’s but, they send me back an e-mail telling me to reply between two lines, but, i have difficulty making this happen. john

May 8, 2005 at 12:53 amWhen you prepare a new DVDA project ready for burning you have to tell DVDA where you want it to place the files that you will eventually burn to DVD. If you tell it to use the same place as for a previous project… then it will happily overwright those previous files (it will give you a warning first).
Bottom line is… you need create a new folder for each of your projects.. you can do this easily when you are preparing your files for burning (there is a “new folder” button you can press).
I usually name my prepare folders so they are eaily recognizable for each project. Don’t just call the folder “DVD” as that way lies confusion and upset (as you have already found I think).
