When I scrub raw footage… I create regions and then EXTRACT GOOD CLIPS with the Excalibur/tsunami tools…

This automatically creates subclips of my GOOD CLIPS.

    The problem:

I would like to be able to extend these SUBCLIPS if I needed to… making them longer than what is available in the subclip. I used to be able to just “pull” them longer right on the timeline… now I can’t because they are subclips…

    My question:

Is there a way to still “pull” these subclips on the timeline without having to go to the Trimmer window?

Thanks for your ideas in advance,
    Paul

When Tsunami was updated for Vegas 5, I used the new feature in Vegas 5 – sub-clips. Some other people mentioned this as well so when the tools were moved to and updated for Excalibur 4, I added an option to use sub-clips OR simply copy like the Vegas 4 version. So… Excalibur 4 will do what you are wanting.

As for the current situation, the only way I know to extend the sub-clip is to actually use the trimmer.
