    Hey guys,

Does anyone know the best way to have a streaking blur coming off someone running really fast? The person has been rotoscoped out so I’m having a bit of trouble getting a blur to go beyond the mask that I created.

    Thanks guys

there’s time-echo which creates frame echoes of previous movement then there’s reelsmart motion blur which creates natural looking camera slow shutter effects. Depends on what look you’re going for.

Also depends on how you shot it.
All of the free or bundled motion blur and echo or time cuta’n’paste filters are indiscriminate, they blur everything, all pixels all the time. If your runner was photographed so he can be easily isolated with a mask or keyer, this will be easy.

There are two fabulous time enahncement filters hardly anyone understands, CC Force Motion Blur and CC Time Blend Efx. Visit the cycore site to download the manual for their filters, it was not included with CS3.
