  how do I make streaming quicktime from Vegas

  Could someone tell me the settings to use to make a streaming quicktime file from V5?

  Is there something about hint streaming that I need?

  File>Render As>Save As Type>QuickTime6

  and then pick a template.

  I don’t know what you mean by hint streaming.

  The “hint streaming” I’m referring to is in the STREAMING tab next to the video and audio tabs under the custom menu when I am rendering the video.

  The problem I’m having is that I render my quicktime but it always seems to be a progressive download… whereas with wmv files, the video starts up after a few seconds while it continues to download.

  I’m not sure if there is a setting in my quicktime preferences that needs to be changed… or if Vegas is rendering the project as progressive…

  Anyone know about this?

  Suggest you take your question over to the Web Streaming – Audio|Video forum on Creative Cow. There are a couple of regular contributors there who are QT experts. Hinting for streaming is indeed an issue I’ve heard of, but not had occasion to work with.
