Particle Illusions 3.09 has no emitter previews :(!!
Hi Folks.
Laptop died on me a few weeks back, got a new one, and am in the process of installing all my software onto it. Had used up all my activations on Particle Illusions so I sent in an email to get them reset. Got an email back from Genarts about a new version of Particle Illusions to download with a new activation serial number and method. So I download version 3.09.
Installation goes well, no issues. Install my emitter libraries, all is still well… Until I click to load a new library in Particle Illusions…! Instead of getting the old emitter selector box which showed you a preview pic of each emitter as you clicked on it, I now get a standard Windows file selector dialogue box which shows me nothing except the file names!!
This is NOT good!!! I rely on that preview in the old emitter selector. I don’t know off the top of my head where every emitter is located in each emitter library but by viewing the preview I was able to get around just fine. What gives??? Can we get the emitter previews back???

Windows API changes forced the removal of previews.
The workaround is use “Manage” instead of “Load Library”. You get thumbnails plus animated previews.
