So I was going to work on some new emitters using images of gears, nuts and bolts, and similar mechanical components, but my scanner is not working correctly so I can’t create the images. Does anybody have a scanner and access to some roundish mechanical components? It would be great if you could scan some stuff for me and send me the images.

I don’t need ultra-high resolution, but it would be great if you could scan objects one at a time with a black background, then email to me: alan at genarts dot com.

I’ll need these images within the next week so I can get the library released by the end of the month. Thanks!

    Alan.

I should mention that a scanner is ideal because it lights the object from the front. That’s key when creating particle images that will rotate. If the object is lit from one side, rotating it kills the illusion.
