Hello, i stumbled upon some problems while making effects in particle illusion. I wanted to render file with transparent background so i can put these effects into video editing program along with my video.
I searched forums for answers how to do it, and read i must use format that allows transparency. For video file it’s quicktime movie or some .avi codecs.
So i tried to render file as quicktime, but i don’t see quicktime file format when choosing output format. There are only .avi, .wmv, and image file formats like .gif, .tga etc.
My question is: How can i save it as quicktime movie? Do i need to have Apple Quicktime installed or some special codecs installed to choose option to save file as quicktime movie?

(I am using windows 7 and particle illusion 3.0)

The Windows version doesn’t support Quicktime, so you’ll have to choose AVI. I suggest downloading the HuffYUV codec and using that, or create a PNG image sequence.
