  Transarency using .avi video background?

  Another newbie question. How can I make certain area of an .avi video background transparent? I have tried loading it as a background image and then as another layer. Then making part of the second layer transparent. But it doesn’t seem to work. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

  I can make a part of a layer transparent using a single image but cant seem to do it using duplicate .avi files.
