    For those of you using particleIllusion for After Effects, you may have tried to load some emitters and gotten an error message about “too many components”, and to check for “replacement emitters”.

    I’ve finally gotten the replacement emitters finished. There were a few free emitters that it was just not possible to get working in pIAE… I think the total number was 7 emitters. All of the rest I was able to rework so they will load in pIAE but still look the same (or as nearly so as possible) as the original emitters.

    All of the replacement emitter names will end with “pIAE”, so you can search for that (in pIAE or particleView). All monthly libs starting with April’s (just released) will contain replacement versions when needed, and replacements for all emitters released before April 2010 will be found in this file:

    <https://www.wondertouch.com/downloads/new_libs/replacement_emitters_free_IL3.zip>

    They’ll also be available through the pI3 “AutoUpdate” feature.

    Note that if you have pI3 only and don’t use pIAE, these replacement emitters aren’t needed.

    The Pro Emitter replacements are ready too, but I still need to put together an information page about them. If you own any Pro Emitter libraries and pIAE, contact wondertouch support.

    I’m still getting the “too many components” in AE6. I deleted all of my emitters and downloaded new ones on the site. So I think I have the latest of everything. Specifically I’m trying to use the ‘Diony’ emitters. Am I doing something wrong or have I not updated properly? I have v1.04 for AE. You mentioned that only about 7 of them still don’t work. I doubt that out of the 100’s of them that I’m finding the 7.

    There is one specific library that contains a bunch of “replacement” emitters (adjusted to work in pIAE). Note that any emitters created *after* that library was released could still be over the pIAE component limit, but I don’t thing the “Diony” emitters fall into that category.

    I’d suggest downloading the replacement library and putting them into a separate folder somewhere so you can review them all.
