Hi. I use particleIllusion 3.0.4.1 on Windows XP with NVIDIA GEFORCE 9500 GT. I think this is great tool.

I want to export particles with BG image by .png format with alpha.

But, I think exported image is not correct.

    My operations are below.

    – Read png image to BG.
    – Put Emiter on the stage.
    – Click Save output Icon.
    – Enter File name(aaa.png).
    – Check [save Alpha] and, click OK.
    – Open exported image by Photoshop cs2(or Flash 8, or google Picasa…), I think it looks something wrong(“half-translucent?”).

Please tell me how to avoid this issue.

    Sorry my bad english.

    Regards.

I’m not sure why you’re seeing your bg image at all — particleIllusion should only be creating the alpha channel using the particles (it does not use the bg image alpha).

I suggest turning off the bg image then rendering, then composite with your bg image in another application.

    Alan.
