I have several 320×240 movies that I want to render out with minimal compression. These movies will then be compressed through Sorenson 4 to be used in Flash (FLV). I wasn’t very happy with the results of the Flash Exporter (from AE) and I have been told Sorenson 4 will do a much better job of compressing.

So again, back to my question. I want to render these movies out with little or no compression (normally I would render them as Animations). I am looking for a setting that will render without producing such large file sizes. Any suggestions? Is there even such a thing?

Try Photo-JPEG at 89% or 94% quality. Those values are at the right end of the quality slider before it pops over to 100%.

(I used to use 94, but it doesn’t seem to be available now — 89 is the best before 100. Hm. Maybe it’s a QT version thing.)
