  AVI not showing

  Well, I figured out my “import not working” issue…

  Now here’s a whole ‘nother can of worms…

  Background AVI files no longer show up in PI, which as you can imagine is a very frustrating thing to deal with… if you can’t see the footage it’s nearly impossible to accurate play emitters.

  At first I thought these were just AVI’s exported by Sony Vegas 8 Pro, but I’ve exported them without alpha layers, and even recoded them in Virtual Dub… those seemed to be the obvious solutions.

  Any ideas?

  Are you saying that the AVIs were working before, and no longer show? (The exact same files that were working before)

  Could be an OpenGL issue. Are you using the latest drivers for your card?

  This turned out to be a Vista issue… ditch desktop composition, and you’re golden.
