  PI Update

  Anyone else having trouble installing the PI 3.041 update? I keep getting the error message that I am “…trying to install in a folder that does not contain particleIllusion.exe!”
  Of course I am installing in my pI folder.

  I am running Vista 64.
  Any thoughts?

  Man, I hate Vista.

  Does AutoUpdate not work?

  Here’s how you should proceed when doing an update:

  1) Use AutoUpdate (“check for updates”) from within pIllusion.

  If that won’t work:

  2) Use the update installer from our website

  If that won’t work:

  3) AutoUpdate should have downloaded the particleIllusion.exe, but probably couldn’t install it. Find that file and manually copy it to your particleIllusion application folder, overwriting the existing exe. The downloaded file is probably in this folder:

  \My Documents\wondertouch\particleIllusion_3\Updates

  If AutoUpdate didn’t download anything (for instance if your computer is not connected to the Internet):

  4) Email support at wondertouch dot com and we’ll give you the direct download link for the file that AutoUpdate will download. Then you’ll need to manually put it in the particleIllusion application folder.
