I have an AE CS3 project I have imported into Premiere Pro CS3. Footage shot Panasonic 720PNative P2 format.

Basically I shot a bunch of chroma keyed footage I want to be moving horizontally across the screen.

Footage looks great in AE and in Premiere Pro CS3.

When I export it to Encore CS3 to make a DVD I get what looks like the footage has been deinterlacing, drawing half of it to the left, and constantly trying to “catch up” with itself. Almost like a slight double vision or ghosting.

I am fine paying money for a plugin if I need to in order to get it fixed. I just need to know the exact process to perfect looking footage.

    Thank you!
    Justin.

[Justin Hawley] “Footage looks great in AE and in Premiere Pro CS3.”

unless you are rendering from ae/premiere with a pulldown and fields (which would not be the default in ae), it seems like the problem is a setting in encore…

i’ve never used encore, but it would seem that encore is trying to deinterlace progressive footage to make a progressive dvd. try to find a setting in encore where you can tell it what type of footage you have (progressive, 23.976 fps) and tell it you want to create a 24p dvd.

you may get more specific help on an encore or dvd authoring forum…

if this is what I think it is, I fix mine by WWSSW pulldown in AE before I burn to DVD. Some DVD encoders don’t do the right cadence pulldown before burning.
