  • Getting a very subtle force value…

Posted by Forrest Maready on February 18, 2008 at 10:05 pm

    Hi-
I’m trying to get the force down below 1. It’s just two powerful for a subtle effect I’m doing. I’ve put the value at 0 on frame 1 and another keyframe (value=1) at frame 15,000 just to get a really slow interpolation, but it seems the value is an integer and not a float.

Any ideas on how to get a more subtle force?

    Thanks

Doing what you said (0 at frame 1, 1 at some high frame value) is the right start, but the particle “velocity over life” can be reduced too.

Because of the way that forces (and “weight”) are implemented right now “velocity over life” affects both of these.

    Alan.
