  small realistic explosion

  i have done this before but am having trouble remembering how, what i have is a small orb and when it gets hit with a sword i want a small explosion emanating from the orb. any help would be appreciated.

  emanating? That may not be teh adjective your looking for thats more of a glowing kinda flow. Maybe I’m wrong but im not sure that an explosion can really flowww. But ne ways yea try using the shatter effect.

  well its not just blowing up, it is an explosion preferably with fire emanating from the explosion point of the orb, the sword will hit, causing the orb to blow up, any hints on a fiery explosion as opposed to the orb just shattering?
