particle illusion not opening on mac pro

i downloaded particleillusion last week and it has been running fine. yesterday when i fired up my mac pro with the quad core intel processor and 8gb memory, the software unexpectantly quit. now it won’t open at all. it starts to open and then shuts down and gives me the report which i’ve pasted below. PLEASE HELP ME!!!!

The Preferences file is:

Your User Account / Library / Preferences / pIllusion3.prefs

Delete that and try running again.

it worked…thank you…i don’t know why but it worked.
