  How do i orbit an effect on a path

  How do i orbit a particle effect on a path. I know how to draw motion lines and then convert them to curves but there seems to be no easy way make an effect loop on an elipse path for example

  Any help will be appreciated.

  Besides importing an oval as your background and aligning your emitter’s position to points along its edge over time, if you have one of the compositing or 3D programs that pI can import position data from, you can animate the path in there.
