DESPERATE HELP NEEDED WITH PI 3.0!!!
Please help me,
i am using particle illusion for a school project and its due soon.
however i have one problem and that is that each time i go to add an emitter or play the video
PI freezes/loads for about 5 mins until it starts to work. every thing i try to do has to load for 5 mins.
WTF???can anyone help me?

Could be a video card driver issue. Do you have the latest certified drivers for your card? Actually, what type of video card is it, and do you get a warning about hardware rendering being turned off when you start up the program?

I am using an “ATI Radeon Xpress 200” card (onboard).
but no error message comes up when I start PI.
in the mean time I will try and get a new driver for my card.thanks.
I will let you know if it works with the driver. -
I have the latest drivers but they made no difference.

If you start a new project and add an emitter at frame 1, do you still see the problem? I’m guessing no, so…
What frame are you working at? If you’ve got a 10-minute video, and are trying to add emitters near the end, it’s going to take forever — this is not the way to use pIllusion.
Instead, break up your long video into shorter clips (only the shots that need particle effects), load a clip, add the effects, then put everything back into order in your video editor.
