  What type of .avi?

  I want to use particle illusion to add particles to my camera videos. I have a converter(Xvid to be specific). What type of .avi file should I convert it to?

  Couldn’t get it to work so i uninstalled XVID and installed the Panasonic DV Codec, yet I still can’t load my .avi files! Why???

  You should post more information — a step-by-step guide of what you’re trying to do. For instance:

  1) connect my video camera and use Windows Movie Maker to import
  2) Use ___ software to convert to AVI using the following settings:_____
  3) When I load the resulting AVI into particleIllusion, I get the following error message: ______

  Just saying “it doesn’t work” doesn’t give us enough information. If “it doesn’t work” is all you can tell us, then my answer to you is “you’re doing something wrong”.

  Sorry, I open up PI 3.0 and I try to load up an .avi file as a layer. I get the following error: Avi Request Format Error(Unsupported Avi Format)

  I have tried: Downloading Panasonic DV Codec and installing it & I recently downloaded Bink and Smacker and I converted them to .bik files…though I still get that exact error.
