I’m a new user and I used particle illusion v3.0 for windows to generate
    flames and smoke effects in
a couple of clips in my video and then I created a DVD. When I play the
DVD on my computer the edited clips looks just fine, but when I play the DVD
back on a DVD player to a tv set the motion of the actors in the edited
clips appears very jerky. Anybody have a suggestion what I need to do to fix this
    problem?

What software are you useing to edit your video and author your DVD? Did you bring your PI into the video editor as png, jpg, tif? or avi?

I am using adobe premier pro 1.5 for my editing system,
I am using adobe encore DVD 1.5 for my DVD authoring system
and I am importing my PI edited clips as .AVI

In the prefrence setting for PI3, make sure that it is 720 by 480 and that lower fields first is checked. I’m going to guess that your footage in Premier is DV, that DV footage is lower fields first. When you export or render out of PI3, you want that AVI to be lower filds first as well. My guess is this is what your problem is.
