OK, So. After FX CS3, couldn’t use more than 2 gigs of ram, on WinXP 32bit.
So I upgraded to WinXP 64 bit. I’ve lost several programs, and now the machine keeps crashing over and over again. Question is, can I move back to WinXP 32bit, now thatn After FX CS4 is out? and not be limited to 2 gigs of ram?

    Please Advise.

nope, the RAM limitation is an OS issue not software. i ran XP 64 bit very stable for 2 years before i just recently upgraded to Vista 64. did you do a clean install? (meaning erase the OS drive and start from scratch). the upgrade install option always yields an unstable system and in my opinion shouldn’t even be an option. make sure all your drivers are up to date as well.

I run xp Pro 64 with 8 gigs of ram. Runs very stable. Virtually all of my programs will run on it with no problem. Sounds like you have a problem with your xp64 install. I prefer to use different hard drives for my OS and data so that if ever I have a problem with the OS or need to do a clean install, my data stays put and I dont have to transfer files all the time.

Yeah, it was a clean install. Right from the IT department, built from scratch.
I think we found the issue. They installed Adobe CS2 on the machine, and I think Version Cue was causing issues…but CS2 only works on 32bit windows. We’ve successfully un-installed it, and everything seems to be back up and running.

Thanks a Million guys. Yesterday was pretty crazy trying to get things back up and running.
