  Problem exporting Tiff files with Transparent background,

  I have a starship image that is tiff. When you bring it into AE or photoshop the background is transparent. What I want to do is bring this image into PI, add some effects, output with background transparent, and bring it into AE with the background transparent.

  I’ve looked at the tutorials and attempted to follow them, but when I bring them into AE, the black background is present.

  In PI when I call up transparency for the starship image it shows no background.

  I don’t know what I’m doing wrong. Thanks for the help.

  pIllusion won’t preserve the transparency of the background image — just the particles. So you need to composite the particle images and the background images separately in AE.
