I’m considering doing a weekly (or bi-weekly) particleIllusion podcast.

Does anybody think this would be interesting and/or useful?

I don’t know how well an audio “tutorial” would work, but I’d talk about tips and tricks, how to get the most out of emitters, maybe talk about specific emitters… what do you think?

To be honest, when it comes to motion graphics,I rely on visuals in the learning process.

I don’t an audio articulation (tutorial) for an abstract visual (particleillusion) concept would be very efficient. But give it a try!

I’m not sure how it will work either, but it can’t be worse than text-based information sources like this forum, right? Not ideal, but still useful.

It would be great. Only one way to tell if an audio tutorial would work is to try it.

But you won’t “see” anything with a podcast — you’ll just hear it. =)

    Hi Alan.
Please give it a go. I would suggest you do a couple of “one offs’ to see how the response is. Main probs for podcasts are sound quality and an interesting presentation style. By this I mean, there are certain ways of speaking clearly that sound better on a purely audio medium eg. radio announcer voice/ hyped up happy voice ect. I’m sure you know all this. Maybe get a couple of people eg. (Elvis and Aharon) to help. Trawl for questions and answer a bunch of them in one hit.
5 to 10 mins should come in under 5 or 6 MB.
    I for one would subscribe.
Also, IPTV will be huge in the next few years and sound and video will be able to be streamed live as in broadcast.
It’s all coming so why not have all the kinks worked out and be ready. Podcasting is a pre-cursor.
