  PI slow – do I need to reinstall open GL?

  I have had a few problems of late with my video card and some corrupt files. Now PI runs very slow. I have just installed the newest version of my video drivers hoping this would fix it, it is a little faster, but still not up to the speed it was before the problem started. Any other ideas on how to speed it up?
  This slowdown is occuring in the real time previews of the particles and the little demo preview box in the upper right hand corner (which I have zoomeed to 25%)

  If you go into Preferences and the OpenGL tab, is Use Hardware Acceleration checked? If not, check it and see if that helps.

  And are they the latest certified drivers, or the newest drivers? The best bet is always the newest certified drivers.
