Energy/Blast/Impact Effect
Hi, first off let me say I am amazed by Particle Illusion and the created emitters. I stumbled upon it while looking for good effects for my film projects. Many of my fave shows have used the program which makes me love it more.
Anywayz, to the point.
I have been testing with Particle Illusion SE, the trial version that is.I want to know if there is some way to create an Impact effect from an emitter using just Particle Illusion SE?
For Example, say I had an emitter like the Star one, shoot off and collide with something in the background. Like a person in a movie throws the energy ball or something at someone. Can I create an impact? Like have the connecting side expand somewhat then from behind fade out? Like energy is hitting an object and is being deflected? I’d use a deflector, but I can’t make the object absorb into itself when it collides.
This may be asking quite a bit, and may not even work for SE but I’m curious, I’ve a complete amateur at this and want to know if its possible.
More Examples: https://coolfun.wibwobweb.com/gallery/image4.htm I know its a picture but the ideas the same.

Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!
