  Looking for information on live broadcast technology

  Hi Cows,

  Does anyone know what technology is used when taped shows have live updates inserted into the broadcast?

  For example:

  A taped kids sports competition show is broadcast, and viewers vote online for a team during the airing, then the vote tallies are shown on screen with graphics.

  Any comments real or silly would be appreciated!
