  Beautiful!

  This short film/commercial is beautifully done. I would like to start a discussion about how some of these effects were achieved. This piece is very dreamy and abstract, yet delivers a clear message. I’m particularly interested in how the blurs, rain and light ray effects were done.

  Since you post this in the AE forum, are you assuming that these effects were done in postproduction?
  In the youtube info it says it won a prize for best cinematography, so I think that most if not all of the effects that you see were done in-camera with creative use of lens flares, depth of field, reflections etc..

  I agree, I think what you are responding to is a great commercial DOP. It may not be to everyone’s taste but it does display a high level of technical ability. I think there was postproduction work, but I’d bet it was minimal compared to the production.
