Argh! I got my nice wireless tally system all running, and now I find out that my Panasonic AW-HS50 switcher interface connector appears to be DEAD. None of the inputs or outputs appear to do anything. All I ever get out of it is an occasional activation of Tally #1 during power-up (so I know it is capable of signaling tally).

Can you provide a bit more information on your setup? How do you have the tally system set up? Cameras or just a tally light that goes on somewhere? You mention a wireless system. How is it set up? Need more info.

Your switcher uses an open collector connection for tally so you will need to bias the connector with power to drive the transistor to conduct. See page 68 in your switcher manual.
