  Sony AWS-G500E Anycast shows error when formatting USB drive

  We have a Sony AWS-G500E Anycast Station. We are attempting to input graphic files via the USB port. When we insert a FAT32 formatted USB thumb drive it recognizes it but says that we need to format it before it can be used. This information is consistent with the operators manuel. When we initiate the format process an error comes up every time “Internal Error An error occurred during formatting” followed by this string of #’s 4001-1606-0673.
  
  We’ve tried several USB thumbdrives and have tried the process in both USB ports.
