  Converting Beta to Digital hardware setup?

  I have some beta tapes that I would like to convert to digital format. I have a beta deck and an older mac and would like to know if anyone recommends a hardware setup (ie black magic card, what generation mac I should use) to convert the beta tapes so I can edit them in Final Cut.

  Final Cut favours ProRes Quicktime files. As you mention you will need an IO card/box in order to achieve this.
  What type of Mac do you have ? This will determine which I/O option is best.
