Service for an Ampex VPR-2B
And no, it’s not a funeral service 8^). Our film and tape archive has an Ampex VPR-2B which has been on the sidelines for the last 4 or 5 years. And, it wasn’t used much before then. We have a new boss who would like for us to see if we can get it rolling again. There are a few dozen hours of 1″ video that he would at least like to be _able_ to see. If there were just a few hours, we would just ship the tapes out. Does anyone have suggestions for where we could ship this deck for servicing, repair, whatever it might need? Preferably on the East Coast, but I know we’ll be lucky to find anyone in the continental US…. Thanks a lot!
