  Is the Tricaster HD True Broadcast?

  I saw the ad for the Tricaster HD and it looks very cool for the money. We are thinking of using one with Sony EX3’s in a virtual studio setting.

  But I am trying to find out of the true quality for broadcast. One of projects we could pick is a PBS talk show (boring talking heads). I am just wondering if this gear would pass?

  It may be more a function of which cameras you are using rather than the switcher or editing system.

  The thought was the Sony EX3’s with SDI into the Tricaster.
