  Where will this fail

  just a brainfart

  out of a EBU document i “fished” the tristimulus value’s of what a grade”1″ monitor should generate whith particular colors stated in Y,Cb,Cr value’s bitwise.

  when i take a simple laptop and a fair to high quality display and
  in front of that display i put a coloranalyzer.
  while measuring with the analyzer i tweak the colors in a homebrew testchart to match the tristimulus value’s stated in the EBU document.

  can i use this laptop in combination with the same display as a testchart to match camera’s

  since i know what these camera should outputin y.Cb.Cr value’s

  what will kill my idea ???

  why i don’t know it’s just a brainfart where i want to experiment whith
