  DVI to HD-SDI or Alternatives

  Hi All,
  I’m looking for a way to go from DVI to HD-SDI. Essentially I’m looking to use a computer as a VTR for playback, I’ve found great software that would allow me to do this but it currently only supports playback through a main output on a videocard as opposed to an output on a capture card. I’ve seen a box made by Gefen but are there any alternatives?

  AJA also makes one at about half the price of Gefen.
