  compressing for broadcast

  simple question. . .hope there’s a simple answer. when compressing spots into mpeg 2 for delievery to dg fastchannel, what’s the best method, hardware compression or software. and if software what would you recommend. . .compressor, cleaner, or some other. by the way i work on a mac.
