  Comp Reel Logs

  Hi –
  I am working on a show for which we output a comp reel with multiple short segments which are broadcast throughout the week. With each comp reel, we provide a log which includes each segment’s TRT, Server ID number, and In and Out points for each segment.

  My question is about what the correct outpoint frame should be on the log.

  It should be one frame less than the TRT plus the In point, right?
  IOW, if I have a segment with a TRT of 1:35;00 and its In Point on the Comp Reel is 01:00:00;00
  should the Out Point be 01:01:34;29?

  I just want to confirm the correct practice so our deliverables are correct.
  We generate the log timecodes from our output sequence in FCP 6.
