  • De-Interlace to Minimize Noisy Shirt?

We recently shot a management “professional” in a “classroom setting” here at the office. We had to whip out the old XL2 as a back up for some close-up shots because our Ikegami was out in the field that day.

The guy comes in and is wearing a suitcoat so I think, okay, no problem with what he’s wearing. In the middle of his opening spiel to the “class” he takes off the jacket and he’s wearing a blue and white striped shirt and it’s noisy as hell.

Is there anything that I can do to minimize this in post? My instinct is that if I de-interlace it it might clear up some of the issue, but I could just be talking out of my rear. What about a flicker filter?

Any suggestions from the pros would be great! Thanks again, and keep up the great work!
