  UVW-1400A HELP

  I just got a UVW-1400A Sony Beta SP deck. I can see to get any picture out of the deck. I can see the menu and hear the audio but no video. Tried every output and tried 4-5 tapes?

  Do I need one of those black burst boxes to get a picture?

  no – the heads (upper drum assembly) are probably dead.
