I have four (4) JVC CCU’s in the rack. We use Clearcom throughout our venue. One of our cameras is a shoulder-pack type with about 130′ of cable from the CCU. In addition to the camera cable, the op drags around 130′ of 2-pair to use Clearcom.

I want to be able to use the intercom function of the camera and tie it back into the Clearcom system. I have a Clearcom AC-10H (see link). This device, I believe, should let me do this.

My question is how to wire it? The CCU’s, by default, are setup for a 4-wire system. The AC-10H will do this. Secondly, our clearcom headsets terminate into a 4-pin female XLR. THe cameras themselves would require the headset to have a 5-pin male XLR.

So, any takers? I would love for someone to tell me what pin to wire to what pin for both CCU to AC-10H and also how to re-wire the headsets – if all of this is even possible.

Thanks for any advice. I know plenty of places are using this type of functionality – just not sure I’ve got the right pieces.

    Thanks!
