  BVW 75 BetaSP Problem

  Hello Cow junkies, I have a problem with my beta deck. When I play from FCP 5 through my KonaLS card to the Beta deck, I get wavy text and discoloration. I have a feeling it is a monitoring concern because I have tested the recorded tapes and they play fine on other machines. We have 3 broadcast moniters. Blackburst box, videotek switcher and other crap that would take all night to list.
  I noticed it happens more with a lot of white, either background or text(yes broadcast safe) and dark black, More with the white though. When you switch it to program the picture goes to crap in the program moniter which makes me think it is a sync problem or something else. I held the reset button down on the beta deck and found a error code 90. Does this mean anything? I can’t find any info about this deck. Has anyone had a problem like this? We might have it routed wrong. Does anyone know the best way to route the VTR inline with studio equiptment?

  If you’re monitoring composit, this sounds like normal operation…
  Try switching to component and have a look then…
