  Reality TV Production

  A client of mine wants to shoot a pilot for a Reality TV show. I have a couple of questions regarding camera setups. We want to inter splice footage in the field (shot by a professional HD crew) with footage that does not necessarily need to be manned.

  We have 4 (possibly more) setups we’d like to do and I was wondering if anyone had any ideas or if there are any leads.

  We’d like to have a camera setup in his Mercedes (possibly multiple cameras)
  A setup in his office (possibly multiple cameras)
  A setup in the common areas of his house (possibly multiple cameras)
  And his Spa/Pool area (Possibly Multiple Cameras)

  I have looked around (sorta) and have found some smaller cameras we could mount but are these fed to a deck? What do they record to?

  The majority of the footage will be manned HD but we’d like to set these cameras up as backups semi-constant recorders. I am guessing that we are looking for DV quality footage. (but any suggestions will do)

  Does anyone have any info on this type of setup(s)?

  I am new to this forum so If I am posting in the wrong area any assistance will be greatly appreciated.
